Costara Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Costara, a service operated by NovaHaven Tech, a proprietorship owned by Mythili Ramalingam, registered as an MSME under Udyam Registration UDYAM-TN-03-0308964, based in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating a Costara account, installing the Costara SDK, or using any part of the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Costara.

If you are using Costara on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

Costara is an AI API cost and performance observability tool. The Service includes:

A Python SDK (costara) for capturing LLM API usage metadata from your applications
A web dashboard at costara.novahaven.tech for visualizing cost and performance data
Budget alerting via email and Slack
Related APIs, documentation, and features described on our website

3. Accounts and Registration

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for keeping your API key and login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, contact us immediately at support@novahaven.tech.

4. Subscription Plans and Billing

We offer the following plans:

Free plan — ₹0/month

50,000 events per month
No payment required

Pro plan — ₹2,499/month

500,000 events per month
Billed monthly via Razorpay
Auto-renews each billing cycle

Team plan — ₹6,499/month

5,000,000 events per month
Billed monthly via Razorpay
Auto-renews each billing cycle

All paid plans are billed monthly in advance in Indian Rupees (INR) via Razorpay. If a payment fails, we will notify you and provide a 5-day grace period before downgrading your account.

We may change prices with 30 days' notice sent to your registered email address. If you do not agree with a price change, you may cancel before it takes effect.

5. Cancellation and Refund Policy

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard settings. Access continues until the end of the current paid billing period.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service to monitor LLM API calls without the knowledge of affected parties in violation of applicable law
Reverse engineer, resell, or sublicense the Service
Attempt to circumvent usage limits, billing, or access controls
Use the Service to transmit malware or engage in denial-of-service attacks
Share your API key with parties outside your organization

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without prior notice.

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of data is governed by our Privacy Policy. You retain ownership of your application data and LLM usage metadata. We do not claim any rights over your event data.

8. Intellectual Property

Costara, including the SDK, dashboard, brand, and documentation, is owned by NovaHaven Tech. You may not use our name, logo, or trademarks without our written permission.

Your application code, data, and integrations remain yours.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is." We make no guarantees regarding uptime, accuracy of cost estimates, or fitness for a particular purpose beyond what is expressly stated. We will do our best to keep things running reliably, but we cannot guarantee perfection.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits or data loss.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India.
